ARNO RAFAEL MINKKINEN 

One of my favourite photo journalist is Arno Rafael Minkkinen. Arno Rafael Minkkinen was born in Helsinki, Finland in June of 1945 and emigrated to the United States in 1951.Minkkinen is know for his black and white abstract pieces which juxtapose bodies and landscapes in surprising ways:he directs scenes in which his body or a portion of it appears as an integral part of the landscape such as an outcropping or rock information".Since 1970, Minkkinen has used self-portraiture to create a harmonious dialogue between the body and its milieu. Minkkinen, as model, exists in a timeless world. With humor and playfulness he conveys an ethereal essence in his images, all of which are created with nothing other than himself, his camera and the environment around him – no double exposure, no multiple negatives, no computer manipulation and no assistant. What you see in the image happened before the lens. Minkkinen can pinch the tip of a Santa Fe mountain, become part of the atmosphere, dwarf vast Southwestern landscapes, rest alongside nature in peace, and transcend his own body.Minkkinen says;"if it is cold out and if there is snow and I Am under the snow,i am under the snow .Or if I am leaning off a canyon off of a canyon or a cliff,I am actually tied by ropes to my wrists."

 Sometimes he uses humorous photographic language by focusing on viewpoint, perspective and making interesting illusions for the viewers. His landscape pictures are unique compared to other photographers and his artwork is very distinctive.His most important speciality is imagining  like a camera..He says"What the camera sees at the moment of exposure is what I try to envision in my mind .Therein lies the magic of photography for me".

Arno Rafael Minkkinen is a genius person for me... And his arts of work is mesmerizing. He uses his creativity,and endless mind in his priceless work. His camera captures the scenes as his mind sees. 

Assignment -2 Photo Manipulation

Photo manipulation; is the application of image editing  techniques to photographs in order to create an illusion or deception , through analog or digital means.By using  photo manipulation; I can  make pictures look more powerful and colorful. I can make pictures look crystal clear and  I can play on colors. These photos are original ones which are in first place. Second ones are edited by using camera plus program.

I really like autumn time. It always inspires me to take a pictures where ever  I am. I always  try to get a good image where I see some beautiful view . This pictures was taken on October 17 2011 by me.  I  like colorful images so what i did was here to add some brightness and and give some clarity to make image look more powerful with colors.

      This picture was taken in Punta Cana ,Dominique Republic . It was my first trip and i was taking a lot of pictures and this is one of them. In this picture I wanted to combine the sea and the beach. I just used back light option and gave some clarity to make it look like smooth. Because I did not want to have a line between the  beach and the sea. I wanted to give a color harmony between the sky , the sea and the beach. In this picture sand is not clear as much as the first one.All i wanted to do was here show the combination of colors. For me with this way it looks much better than before. It just looks like a poster on a wall.

Hi my name is Fatih Goker. I have been living in Toronto for four years and a half. I came to Toronto for my education. I am a marketing student at GBC. After my graduation my goal is to work in a company in Toronto for 3 years then i would like to have my own company.

My hobbies are taking a pictures, travelling to different countries and new places. I like awkwardness , because i think life is too random. I believe that we need to look for a little excitements in our life.
